I think you must have missed one step which is configuring cloudwatch log group. Check if you have followed all the steps in the Cloudtrail section of the blog. Also, there is 15 min latency of Cloudtrail writing to Cloudwatch logs so you have to wait for this much time to see a PutImage Log.
